Getting to Riga

BY PLANE

Riga International Airport is the biggest in the Baltic States. It offers flights to 60 destinations in the entire world. The largest number of direct flights is offered to Riga from destinations in Europe and Asia, and from elsewhere Riga is easily reachable using transit flights. BY BUS

Riga has a developed bus traffic to many cities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Great Britain, France etc. Trip from Berlin to Riga lasts approximately 22 hours. Riga International Coach Terminal is located in the very center of the city. Time table of bus traffic is available here.

BY FERRY

Tallink ensures regular ferry traffic on the Stockholm – Riga route. The trip lasts approximately 16 hours. Riga Passenger Port is located in ~ 15 minutes walking distance from the center of Riga, but a trip with taxi will last ~ 5 minutes. Approximate fee for the taxi – 5 EUR.

How to reach the venue from the Riga International Airport by:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

A cheaper option is to take bus No 22 which goes to the center of Riga. The ride is approximately 30 minutes long and the bus leaves every 10 – 30 minutes, from 05:45 a.m. till 00:05 a.m.

To get on the bus at the airport look for bus stop located opposite the terminal behind the car park P1.

A one way ticket bought at the bus driver costs 2,00 EUR.
A ticket for an unlimited number of trips is valid 24 hours from its first usage costs 5,00 EUR.
If you buy your ticket before commencing your trip at the airport services and tourism information bureau “Welcome to Riga”, a regular one-way ticket will cost you only 1,15 EUR.

TAXI

The most reliable taxis from the airport to Riga city are “Baltic Taxi”(light green)  and “Red Cab” (red or white-and-red) cabs.

Hint ! You are free to take any cab disregarding its place in a row.

Journey time to the centre of Riga city is approximately 15 minutes.
Average cost per trip by taxi to Riga city centre: 12 EUR  – 15 EUR.
